One name per line.

Use a prize wheel to select an entry for a giveaway or event after the eligibility rules have been defined. Add only eligible entries, confirm whether duplicates are allowed, and explain how the result will be selected. A wheel can support a transparent process, but it does not itself make a promotion legal or compliant with platform rules.

Set up the draw

Before adding entries, publish the eligibility criteria, opening and closing times, prize details, and selection method. Prepare the list from the same rules for every participant. Remove ineligible entries according to the published criteria, not because of who they belong to or what result you expect.

A fair-draw checklist

  1. Define eligibility. State who can enter, any age or location limits, and how entries are counted.
  2. Set the deadline. Close entries at the announced time and preserve the eligible list.
  3. Explain selection. State whether each entry has an equal chance, whether duplicates count, and how many winners will be drawn.
  4. Keep a record. Save the rules, eligible list, draw time, and result where appropriate.
  5. Communicate clearly. Contact winners using the announced method and explain any response deadline.

Reserves and prize tiers

If the tool supports reserves, a reserve is an alternate selected under the rules in case a primary winner is ineligible or cannot be contacted. Define this process before drawing. For prize tiers, state whether each tier has a separate draw and whether a person can win more than once. Do not change the rules after seeing the results.

Your responsibilities

Check local laws, platform terms, and any promotion-specific requirements before running a raffle or giveaway. Do not imply that using this tool guarantees compliance, verifies every entrant, or prevents all forms of manipulation. For a consequential promotion, consider an independently reviewable process.

Frequently asked questions

Can one person win twice?

That depends on the published rules and whether the tool supports removing previous winners. Decide the repeat-winner rule before the draw and check that the selected entries follow it.

How do I prove the draw was fair?

Keep the published rules, eligible-entry list, draw date and time, selection method, and result. A wheel animation alone does not prove fairness; use an independently reviewable method when the stakes justify it.

Do I need a permit for a raffle?

Requirements vary by location and promotion type. Check the laws and platform rules that apply to your activity before launching; this page is not legal advice.

Can I draw several prizes in a row?

If the tool supports multiple winners or repeated draws, define whether a person can win more than once and whether entries are removed between draws. Confirm the settings before starting.
